Before you sign-up with any Internet MLM program, it's vital that you get answers to all these questions...
- Who owns the company?
- How long have they been in business?
- Are they operating at a profit?
- How does their program work?
- What type of payment plan do they have?
- Does the compensation plan reward you adequately?
- What type of products do they sell?
- What is the cost of maintaining my position
- Can the business idea be duplicated?

But which of these questions is the most important factor to your long-term success in MLM? Look over the list again, and pick the question you feel is the most important to your success in MLM.
Which did you choose?
Actually, I have a confession to make. I've played a dirty trick on you. None of the above questions is the most important factor in your success.
The correct answer is your sponsor.
The quality of your sponsor is crucial
When you join an MLM, the single most important decision you make is picking the right person to sponsor you. Here's why...
The right sponsor will explain the program to you, and equally importantly, to all your prospects.
The right sponsor is going to support your every move. He or she will invest the time it takes to do three-way calls with you. And follow-up with email support.
The right person will walk your prospects through the sign-up process, and provide whatever else you need to get a solid start in network marketing.
Your sponsor gets you started
It's your sponsor who'll help you with advertising. He or she will show you where to advertise, and share what's working for them.
Your sponsor will even help grow your business by placing people directly under your position.
Make no mistake. Your sponsor is your most important link to the company. He or she can either make you wildly successful, or leave you to sink without a trace.
When you look at it in this light, the actual business you're involved in becomes less important. I'm not saying it's irrelevant, and I've been involved with one or two stinkers over the years! What I am saying is that I floundered until I came across a great sponsor.
He got me up and running, and taught me the how to be successful in this business.
He introduced me to the right people, and taught me how to tell the difference between an outright scam, a poor program, a good program, and a great program.
Judge your sponsor first
Next time you're ready to sign up for a new program, stop for a moment and find out for sure if your sponsor has all the answers to your questions. If not, does he or she have the resources to get the answers you need?
Make sure your wanna-be sponsor is as committed to your success as you are. Test him or her a little. Ask tough questions, and consider his or her response.
Is your sponsor brushing you off? Does the answer seem a little light on information? Are you satisfied with the support you're getting before you sign up?
One thing I can tell you, is that the support you receive before you commit is a very good indicator of the support you can expect once you've signed up!
A sponsor should be your most important decision when you consider joining your next program. I wish you the best of luck when it comes to finding a qualified candidate!
