Dr Daniel Dana

The originator of managerial mediation and the simple yet powerful "self mediation" communication tool, Dan Dana, Ph.D. is internationally recognized as one of today's most influential innovators and practitioners of consensus-building communication methods for organizations.

Holding the Ph.D. in psychology, Dan served for several years as a professor of organizational behavior at the University of Hartford (Connecticut) Graduate School of Business, and has held faculty appointments at Syracuse University's Summer Institute on Conflict Resolution (Maxwell School) and at several other institutions. He has been a dedicated specialist in organizational conflict for over twenty-five years.

As Founding President of the Mediation Training Institute International, Dr. Dana seeks to expand global awareness and use of non-adversarial methods for managing human differences — in the workplace and beyond. Howard Martin is one of the original leaders who helped Doc Childre found HeartMath™. In 1999 he co-authored The HeartMath Solution published by HarperSanFrancisco and he has been with HeartMath´s world-wide training and consulting team since its inception in 1991.During his career with HeartMath, he has been instrumental in business development and in delivering HeartMath´s practical, yet dynamic, programs to thousands of participants world-wide. Because of his universal appeal, he has conducted training programs and keynote presentations in Fortune 100 companies such as Sony, Halliburton, Mattel and Sun Micro Systems, government agencies, all four branches of the U.S. military, school systems, ecumenical organizations and through publicly promoted events in over 50 cities on three continents. Additionally he conducts over 50 media interviews annually and has appeared on ABC World News Tonight and Good Morning America.Prior to his employment with HeartMath.

Howard had a successful career as a musician followed by a business a financial consulting career as an Account Executive with E.F. Hutton and as Vice President of Capital Funding.

Dr Charles Margerison is a Partner in Team Management Systems, previously Professor of Management at the University of Queensland, Australia, and also at the Cranfield University School of Management, UK. Holding a PhD in Educational Psychology, he is the author and coauthor of many leading books and professional articles. His industrial experience includes time as CEO of a publications company and as a consultant to leading corporations.

Dr Dick McCann is a Partner in Team Management Systems, with a background in science, engineering, finance and organizational behavior. Earlier in his career he spent five years with the BP company in London. Holding a PhD in engineering, he is the author and coauthor of many leading books and articles on teamwork. He is currently Managing Director of TMS Australia, a Director of TMS Development International and President of Team Management Systems Inc.

Danny’s most recent postgraduate award was his PhD for research in HRM at The University of Strathclyde. Danny’s doctoral research focused on “The friendship experiences of senior managers…” and also explored the associated factors that influence individual and collective wellbeing and performance in organisations.




Associate Professor David Morrison

David has consulted and provided training services to a wide variety of government and private sector organisations including: Fire and Emergency Services, Public Sector Standards Commission, Water Corporation, WorkCover, Family and Children’s Services as well the Department of Justice.

David is interested in issues relating to management and the effects of work design on work performance and employee well-being. He has been a chief investigator on a multi- million-dollar project investigating the effects of new technology and work organisation on well-being and efficiency in the food processing industry. David is also interested in the development of statistical models for early warning of failure to recover from injury, the development of intentional distortion scales in selection (faking good) and insurance compensation claims (faking bad). He is also currently involved in the development of measures of integrity as a personality characteristic and the organisational conditions that compromise integrity.




Professor Ivan Robertson

Ivan is Managing Director and founder of Robertson Cooper. He is also Emeritus Professor of Work and Organisational Psychology, University of Manchester. Ivan has published over thirty books regarding Occupational Psychology and is a recognised industry expert on leadership and development, working extensively with Central Government and Private Industry to implement best practice.





Raymond Rusin

With over twenty-seven years in human services and personnel management, and nine years with MTI, Ray brings a humorously light-hearted yet sensible and practical approach to simplifying complex people problems.

Ray has presented MTI's Certification Conferences in Managing Workplace Conflict internationally (Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Ghana, and Nigeria) as well as in the United States.

As the recipient of a Rotary International Group Study Exchange grant in 1997, Ray participated in a multi-nation group business exchange with the West Indies Rotary Division where he met with business leaders and government officials in French Guyana, Suriname, Guyana, Barbados, and Grenada. Ray's insight and pragmatic approach to dealing with workplace productivity challenges creates a bridge between cultures that enlightens participants to the similarities in human interaction regardless of cultural background.





Howard Stevens

Howard Stevens is chairman and CEO of The HR Chally Group, a sales performance consulting corporation providing personnel assessment and research services to more than 2,500 customers in 35 countries. Clients include such major international corporations as General Motors, Siemens, Global Imaging, Monster Worldwide, Liberty Mutual and AT&T as well as many mid- and smaller-size companies. Stevens specializes in sales benchmarking and is the creator of the original sales product lifecycle classifications. Chally created the largest statistical database and validation research for the evaluation of requirements for sales and executive positions, and in market and customer analyses.

A licensed clinical psychologist, Stevens is known for his research and programs in management systems and motivation. With diversified interests, Stevens is the author of several books on sales and management including The Quadrant Solution (Amacom Books, 1991) and Selling the Wheel (Touchstone, 2001). He has written many articles and is a frequent speaker and radio and television guest. He has presented his world-class sales benchmarks program more than 500 times in 30 countries for corporations, trade associations, government agencies and univesities.

Stephanie Thompson

Stephanie has been a Director of Insight Matters since 1999, prior to which she was Technical Director of McKenzie Consulting Group (including McKenzie Carrick).  Before that she served as Saville & Holdsworth's 2IC in Singapore and SE Asia while still only in her mid-twenties, thus developing her pragmatic understanding of business realities from an early age. She has consulted as a Corporate Psychologist and Coach for 16 years, assisting business leaders at vice-president, partnership and country-head levels with maximising their own and their staff's performance.

Stephanie's tertiary education is in both psychology and business, from the UK.  She has also been schooled in executive coaching by the best in the field - the British ex-Olympic group who originated the business coaching concept in the 1980s. She is a highly regarded psychometric specialist.  As a well-respected pre-employment profiler she has a reputation for an unusual depth of technical skill, comprehension and objectivity when working with human characteristics and personality differences. Stephanie also displays keen insight into cross-cultural and expatriate issues, having herself worked extensively in the UK, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand, and with many US executives.
