Stress Management

Course Overview:
High levels of stress are unavoidable in today's workplace. If poorly managed, stress can contribute to the onset of coronary disease, cancer, diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, chronic fatigue, insomnia, back pain, depression, etc., and can contribute to absent-eeism, decreased productivity, impaired judgement, and avoidable, costly mistakes.
Conversely, many people thrive on a degree of positive stress to keep motivated and productive. Successful companies are usually those that manage to strike the right balance between the two.
This practical course is designed to help individuals and organizations identify their main sources of stress, distinguish between those that are constructively challenging and those that are disadvantageous, and discover their own individual "fracture points" and preferred coping mechanisms.
Delegates will be given a clear understanding of what stress actually is; its causes, and effects. They will learn how to identify it and utilize new, powerful and flexible tools to manage their own stress levels and those of others.
